I’m totally sold on following Brandon and Thorolf’s adventures and will definitely buy the next book. The continuing saga of the Pyr vs Slayer in the war to save the human race, and dominance in the world of dragons features the elusive Lorenzo and his Firestorm.

It was a good read, entertaining and I liked Lorenzo and Cassie but it is the subplot and the machinations of everyone else that really brings this book to the front.

Illusionist Lorenzo wants nothing to do with the Pyr or the Slayers. Lorenzo is a famous magician but in the same time a real dragon.
Meanwhile various bad guys are messing with him and he wants nothing to do with his dragon heritage and makes plans forever rid himself of it. The story was thrilling and unpredictable and Flashfire is another great addiction to one of my favorite paranormal romance series. I really enjoyed this story and the characters as always were fantastic!

Marked by the Moon. The writing style is fluid and the story interesting. Even the Slayers can sense another’s Firestorm, only they want to stop it by killing the woman who is the potential mate to the Pyr. All of the pieces worked for good here and made this arguably one of the best of the series. As always, the story is well written, with rounded, fully realized characters, and a story line that keeps you in suspense to the end. When his firestorm comes upon him, a time for him to procreate with his destined mate, Lorenzo is not prepared for the beautiful Cassie Redmond. There were some developments regarding the plans of the Slayers and I’m curious to see where they’ll take us.
I never warmed up to Lorenzo and I thought Cassie was just a little too self righteous to be believed.
In addition, I liked the author’s injection of Lorenzo’s family past which brings a certain light on his animosity with his father.
I will read it only because I want to read and never miss a day without reading something. Master illusionist Lorenzo wants nothing to do with the Pyr. I am really looking forward to see their evil plan unfold. Cassie was a good foil to the extroverted Lorenzo. Somewhere along the line they split. Believing his best course is to satisfy the firestorm and falshfire on, Lorenzo and Cassie share a mutually gratifying interlude and both expect to go on with their lives unchanged.
A tremendous disappointment for a series I usually love. Lorenzo has flashfir been a loner, not wanting to take sides in the war between the Slayers and Pyr, though both sides have tried to recruit him.
As usual the threat posed by the Slayers plays an important role in Flashfire and will continue in the next book.
